Corporate fundraising plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of Dads Unlimited, allowing the organisation to expand its reach and impact in supporting vulnerable men and dads across England and Wales.
Corporate fundraising involves building mutually beneficial partnerships between a charity and businesses. It can take various forms, including financial donations, in-kind contributions, employee fundraising, and cause-related marketing. Dads Unlimited are proud to have worked alongside a number of corporate funders:
Beresford Chartered Accountants
Dads Unlimited were kindly chosen by Beresfords Chartered Accountants to be their 2023 ‘Charity of the Year’. This is a fantastic example of corporate fundraising with the whole team at Beresfords getting involved in organising fundraising events, hosting team building sessions, volunteering and offering their expertise.
“In 2023, Beresfords proudly embraced a year of giving by selecting Dads Unlimited as its first official ‘Charity of the Year’.
Throughout the year, our team dedicated their time and efforts to organise various fundraisers for the charity, fostering a sense of community and support for Dads Unlimited.
The culmination of these endeavours resulted in an impressive total of £12,428.46 raised to enable DU to prevent primary suicidal ideation amongst men and dads.
The partnership began in January 2023, and we kickstarted our fundraising events by hosting our very own charity Bingo night which was enjoyed by the Beresford’s team at our Cheriton Offices.
We then leant a helping hand to support Dads Unlimited collate the raffle prizes for Padfest, a festival themed fundraiser at The Tickled Trout in Wye; organised by Dads Unlimited and the family of a local architect who sadly took his own life in 2019, following a battle with psychosis. The day was a huge success raising over £6,000.00.
Soon after PadFest we put our running shoes on and arranged a 5k fun run, held at the beautiful grounds of Evegate Business Park. Despite the soaring temperatures every runner and marshal did amazingly well. The event raised over £1100.
During September, we held our annual Summer BBQ where we celebrated 65 years of Beresfords Chartered Certified Accountants with lots of cake, burgers and more cake – although the day was not a specific charity event, we couldn’t resist having a quick 50/50 raffle where we raised another £100!
Finally, we finished the year of fundraising by putting all efforts into arranging our grand finale and very first (of many) Charity Golf Day!Beresfords’ Charitable Triumph: Supporting Dads Unlimited in 2023

The funds that we received are contributing to our counselling service, offering full subsidy sessions to our clients experiencing loss of contact with children, relationship breakdown and/or domestic abuse.
We are grateful for all of the support and generosity of Walker Construction and look forward to working with them for this year.
